Welcome to the Turkey Track Club Hunting Camp
“Where the Merriam’s Gobble”

Founded in 1974, Turkey Track Club is one of the oldest wild turkey camps in America and is devoted to fair pursuit of the The Merriam’s Wild Turkey. We hunt only wild turkey, specifically The Merriam’s Wild Turkey in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Our mission is to share our passion about wild turkey hunting.  On our guided hunts we emphasize hunter safety and respect for the bird using shotguns or archery only.  Turkey Track Club has achieved 87 percent rate on gobblers over the past ten years. However, we are 100 percent successful with guests seeking a quality turkey hunting experience.

The Merriam’s Wild Turkey

The Merriam’s Wild Turkey can be found throughout the ponderosa pine in Black Hills of South Dakota. The turkey’s tail and lower back feathers have white tips with purple and bronze reflections.

Turkey Track Club Hunting Camp

We are located about 14 miles SW of Rapid City, off US Highway 16, at the Rockerville Lodge and Cabins). Our facilities include comfortable cabins and a central lodge for turkey hunting stories and great food.

We provide free transportation to and from the Rapid City Airport for those hunters arriving by air.  Spring turkey seasons in South Dakota typically open in early April and continue into early May.  Our camp dates generally follow the same schedule. Although, specific camp dates vary season to season.

The Black Hills of South Dakota

The Black Hills are a unique landscape of scenic vistas and endless stands of Ponderosa pines, the largest contiguous forest of Ponderosa in the world.  Trout streams and lakes brimming with rainbows and browns are within easy driving distance.  The historic Deadwood casinos are a mere 30 minutes away; the famed Mount Rushmore National Memorial carvings are within an hour’s drive from camp.
